Community-based Outreach Featuring Immunova’s 2.0 Model In
Advancing Global Cancer Intervention Technology
SINGAPORE, 6 September 2025 – The Immunova AI Foundation was honoured to present as an exhibiting organization at Project STEM-Up! 2025, a national STEM innovation fair organized by M3@Geylang Serai, Singapore University of Technology and Design Muslim Society and the EveryVoice Youth Network. The event was supported by the Southeast Community Development Council and attended by students, educators and professionals from across Singapore. It aimed to ignite curiosity and spark innovation in STEM by bringing together institutions of higher learning, research organisations and youth innovators for a full day of interactive showcases and dialogue.
A total of 11 institutions participated in the exhibition, including Google Singapore, National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University. Immunova was proud to stand alongside these leading institutions and introduce our flagship 2.0 model to the Singapore public.
Advancing Public Outreach In Open-Source Cancer Research
As part of its public education and outreach efforts, Immunova’s booth featured an introduction to its flagship pre-release platform, Immunova 2.0. Attendees were introduced to the platform that integrates whole-slide images, multi-omics data, and electronic health records to generate interpretable and actionable insights across the cancer care continuum.
Immunova’s presence at Project STEM-Up! 2025 highlights the growing role of youth-driven organisations in Singapore’s research and innovation ecosystem. Through open-source collaboration, the foundation aims to lower barriers for cancer AI research worldwide, with an emphasis on accessibility, transparency, and equity. The showcase demonstrated how youth can take the lead in frontier science while building bridges with the community, underscoring the importance of keeping research both accessible and relatable. Project STEM-Up! also provided an opportunity for Immunova to expand its team, inviting students from high school through PhD level to contribute to its large-scale collaborative project.
A Hands-On Showcase by Youth for Youth
The booth was presented in-person by Aneesh Bondugula and Eve Ang. Throughout the event, they introduced Immunova 2.0 and engaged students, parents and STEM professionals in conversations regarding the use of AI in healthcare.
One of Immunova’s most popular interactive features allowed booth visitors to “step into the shoes of a pathologist” by visually estimating the density of tumour-infiltrating lymphocytes in digitized tissue samples. This challenge was intended to highlight the inherent subjectivity and inconsistency of manual interpretation and reinforced Immunova’s value in improving clinical decision-making and equity in global cancer care.
From primary school students to PhD graduates, this experiential component reinforced the potential of scalable and explainable machine learning models in participants of all ages.
